Into the 80's

Spring sprung in a hurry.  We went from below normal temps to above normal temps.  The Chinese cabbage was already trying to bolt and now at least half have blossomed.  Some of the romaine started to bolt, so we had a large harvest.

The former romaine bed with fennel and celery left.

We "mowed" the closer section the other day for a baby green salad.  Yummy!

Asparagus is coming up in spurts.

The grape plants are alive!

Cilantro leaves are starting to appear.

We have been having trouble with the pill bugs.  They are destroying the stems of some of the plants.  We are releasing some nematodes tonight to attack them and hopefully knock their numbers back.  We also have noticed as it warmed up that the aphids were multiplying quickly.  We are starting a program of lacewing deliveries to help keep them under control.
