The seeds we recently put in the ground have begun to come up. I always think it's exciting to see. We put in lettuces, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, radishes, celery, spinach, bush beans, onions, and corn. That's right, we're trying corn now. It's going to mess up that whole, "knee high by July" thing, but that's ok. We've tried corn before and it hasn't worked for us. We had it by a wall the first time and thought the reflective heat may have been it's downfall. We thought it was in a great spot this last time, but it still had a hard time and the crop failed. So we decided to put it in with the fall crops and just see what happens.
Still no eggs. Sadness. Someday we'll probably find a pile of them hidden in a corner somewhere.

We sprayed a couple of wasp nests that we found and have
noticed more bees coming around to pollinate things. |
