We Grow Award Winning Veggies!

Yep, we took some of our veggies to the Clark County Fair.  And as it turns out, growing celery from seed is rare here.  Growing celery that looks and tastes good is really rare.  That might be why our celery not only got Best in Class, but the Champion ribbon as well.
Our celery.  Our award winning celery.

Our sweet peas won second in the vine or bush category.

A sample of our carrots won Best in Class for the root vegetables.

We suspect our choice of different sized fennel is the only thing
that kept us in second in the herb group.

And our head lettuce came in second place...

...because our celery came in first.  Did I mention that our celery came in first?
Needless to say we were quite pleased that our first journey into exhibiting turned out so well for us.  And it's really fun to say that we grow award winning veggies!
